From Monday 2nd August 2010 the Westport/Carters Beach Water Supply will be untreated.
Although Council are installing a temporary Chlorination system consumers need to be aware that ALL DRINKING WATER AND WATER USED FOR FOOD PREPARATION SHOULD BE BOILED PRIOR TO USE.
These measures are necessary during the shut down of the Water Treatment Plant for a major filter upgrade. This work is likely to take three weeks so the "BOIL WATER NOTICE" will remain in place until further notice.
You need to be aware that the untreated water will be slightly discoloured during this shutdown.
Council apologises for any inconvience this may cause.
