Council maintains reserves including children’s playgrounds, sports and recreational grounds and local neighbourhood reserves and also provides maintenance and access to beaches, foreshore areas and walkways.
Council also provides:
- For the eradication of noxious weeds and pests from reserves.
- Assistance to community groups and Reserve Management Committees which look after local reserves.
Council contracts out the maintenance work on its popular reserves, walkways and tracks, playgrounds and cemeteries.
